Overview
This article helps you enable or disable the search functionality within dropdown fields. Once enabled, it adds a search box to all dropdowns used in widgets and inquiry/registration forms for quicker input selection.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Settings → CRM → Mapping
- Locate ‘Enable Dropdown Search’ accordion
- Click to expand the section and view the settings.
- Turn ON the toggle labeled "Enable Search in the Dropdown"
- Hit the Save button at the bottom-right corner. Confirmation toastbar appears on the screen, and the system saves your settings.
Search boxes will now appear in all existing and future dropdown fields used in widgets and enquiry forms.
Points to Keep in Mind
- Minimum 1 character is required for the search to activate.
- Search is alphanumeric and matches from the first character.
- Results display in the order of the dropdown master data/custom data.
- This change may affect custom JS, review and update all custom scripts accordingly.
