The Stop Transactional SMS feature introduces an update to the SMS configuration settings, enabling better control over communication management. Effective February 20, 2025, this enhancement allows for streamlined SMS handling, reducing the risk of unexpected service disruptions and ensuring a more precise configuration of transactional messaging.
Core Functionalities
Here’s a breakdown of the new features:
-
Automatic Pause with “Stop Transactional SMS” Configuration
A new feature has been introduced to automatically pause SMS services when the credit balance reaches zero. This ensures that all transactional and promotional messages, including OTPs, payment confirmations, and login credentials, are paused until credits are replenished.
Error code: Connect with Organization - 4021 (This means 0 or Negative balance.)
Additionally, users can manually stop transactional SMS through the "Stop Transactional SMS" configuration in the SMS control section, allowing for greater control over SMS allocation and usage.
-
Proactive Notifications for SMS Credit Balance
The system now includes proactive SMS credit balance alerts, notifying you when your credits reach a predefined threshold. This ensures continuous monitoring and better management of SMS usage.
You can configure alerts to trigger notifications when:
-
A specific percentage of SMS credits is consumed (e.g., 50%, 70%, 90%, and 100%).
-
The credit balance falls below a defined limit (e.g., 5,000).
This feature allows proactive credit management, preventing unexpected depletion and ensuring uninterrupted SMS services.
