Pre-requisites
For Channel Partner CRM, the organization will have to subscribe for Meritto's CRM Cloud with a minimum of below features:
- Lead Manager & Opportunity modules - for lead centralization, categorization of interests university wise and nurturing purposes
- Integrations - This would help the Channel Partner in real time data sync between Universities. This would majorly include sending data to Universities (via Webhook Integration) and additionally accepting data from Universities (via Developer Portal APIs) which would support the counselling team in real time updates
- Report Builder - With the help of advanced report builder, Channel Partner CRM helps in tracking university wise payments/revenue. These reports would cater all the following teams - Management, Managers, Sales/Counselling Team, Operations Team, Finance Team, etc
Setting Up Channel Partner CRM
Teams Setup
- By default first level is reserved for Admin
- 2nd Level - It should comprise of all the respective departments. For Example: Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc. Further classification needs to be done on the basis of department and roles. Respective department heads should be part of 2nd level.
- Sales Department classification:
- 3rd level should comprise of Universities: University A, University B, etc. Respective University sales/counselling head should be part of University wise teams
- 4th level should comprise of different teams within each University. If there are multiple teams, then all teams should be created underneath each team. For example: University A can comprise of 3 teams (say Team A, Team B, Team C)
- Similar to Sales department, hierarchy to be created for other departments as well
- All Team Managers can be given Team level access and other can be given individual access level
Fields Creation on Lead Manager
- Basic Fields - All fields which are common across Universities should be configured here. For example: Leads Name, Email, Mobile, Course Interested In, Country, State, City
- University Field - A field (say University) needs to be created. This field would segregate lead's interest in respective Course/University. This field should ideally be part of all the lead origins
Set up for Lead Collection & Source Tracking
All set up needs to be done so that lead can be centralized in Lead Manager via all the respective origins. This would include leads created via Widget, Marketing Page, Add Quick lead, Offline Upload, Publisher API, etc
Opportunity SetUp

Opportunity List logic - University wise opportunity list needs to be created to centralise lead interests specific to University.

Opportunity List wise fields creation - Opportunity list wise field creation needs to be done since a user might show interest in multiple Universities at the same time.

Opportunity Stage - Opportunity Stage set up so that at the time of nurturing counsellors can update status of opportunity accordingly.
- Other Setup - The set up should also include access to the following
- Communicate - Option to send email, sms and whatsapp in single or bulk
- Add Event - Option to schedule follow up with the lead
- Click to Call Setup
- Allocation of opportunity to respective counsellors
- Set up Automation to send out bulk emails

Webhook SetUp
This setup will ensure transferring of lead data from Channel Partner CRM to University Application Portal. This set up would include the following:
- University Integration Kit - This kit will comprise of API's on which lead data would be transferred from Channel Partner CRM

Meritto Webhook Configuration - Once the first point is catered, the webhook configuration can be done which would comprise of the following:
- Set up needs to be done University wise or opportunity list wise
- Webhook to be configured with trigger point as "Opportunity Create". Once the lead shows interest for a respective University, data to be directly pushed to University. Basic details of leads needs to be pushed since all other details needs to be filled on University Portal
Developer Portal API Setup
This setup is a must and will ensure counsellor gets real time student progress updates for tracking progress effortlessly and for follow up with respective lead from 'one-platform' itself. This set up would require University to integrate with Channel Partner CRM (Meritto CRM) and would include:
- Meritto Developer Portal API: Following API's needs to be shared with Universities:

Update Opportunity API
- Alternatively, you can visit Opportunity List page, Click on setting icon and then select "View JSON". All details for API integration would be listed there which needs to be shared

Update Opportunity API
- The above mentioned API needs to be integrated by University for real time sync and student progress updates tracking from University Portal
Revenue Collection Setup
- To track revenue, create all payment type fields under lead manager. For example: Course Paid For, Total Payable Amount, Total Paid Amount and Remaining Amount
- These details can be updated via Offline Upload or API integration with respective University
