Introduction
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has made it mandatory for all entities to register on the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform. This has been done to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication and improve mobile subscriber privacy within the country. It’s aimed at creating more transparency, end-to-end traceability, and reducing the incidence of spam and fraud.
What is Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)?
Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is BlockChain Technology for keeping and managing the record of transactions (sender ID and Templates) exchanged between network participants.

The complete process requires you to do the following three steps:
1. Register on the DLT platform
2. Header (Sender ID) registration
3. Content Template Registration
Steps to Register on the DLT Platform
Prerequisites: Please keep the following documents handy for the registration process:
Business PAN Number with Soft Copy Company Name GST Number with Soft Copy Business Established Date Company’s Website Business Owner Name Business Owner Mail Id Alternate Mail Id Business Owner Date of Birth Complete Business Address Proof of Business Identity (PAN Card) with Softcopy Proof of Business Entity with Softcopy (GST Reg./Business Reg.)

Steps for Enterprise / Entity Registration:
Step 1: Register your entity, headers, and templates via the platform: http://www.vilpower.in/
Step 2: Select: As Enterprise.
Step 3: Have you registered with any other Mobile Operator DLT Network? Select: No
Please Note: In case you have already registered with any other Mobile Operator DLT Network. Select: Yes. Enter the Entity ID to process forward.
Step 4: Enter Your Business PAN Number. Fill the form with Required Details

Step 5: Enter Telemarketer Details

Step 6: Pay Registration Fee. This registration carries a fee of Rs. 5000 + GST. Please note that this fee is not charged or collected by Meritto.
You will get your Enterprise Registration Id within 72hrs. of your KYC upload.
Once registered on the platform (http://www.vilpower.in/), you need to update your KYC on other operator’s DLT portals to ensure better delivery of your SMS using your unique PE ID (principal entity ID).
