Lead origin helps us in understanding where and how potential leads are generated, which helps organizations to track the effectiveness of their marketing strategies and sales channels.
We determined total 7 types of lead origins in Meritto:
- Offline : Leads generated through offline sources such as walk-ins, events, or manual data entry.
- Online : Leads generated through online channels like websites, campaigns etc
- API: Leads automatically imported into the system through API integrations from third-party platforms.
- Telephony :Leads originating from telecommunication-based interactions, such as inbound or outbound calls.
- Widget : Leads generated through interactive website widgets
- Chat : Leads captured through live chat interactions or Chatbot ( Niaa) on the website .
To view the origin of leads through Quick filter

Navigate to Leads Manager > Manage Leads.

Click on the Quick filter.

Select Lead origin > Equals > Origin (Offline, online, chat, etc.)

Click on Apply.
View Lead origin through advance filter
- After Navigating to Manage leads
- click on Advance filter

Select Lead origin > Equals > Origin (Offline, online, chat, etc.)

Click on Apply.
For example, to view all leads originating from a particular widget.

Navigate to Leads Manager > Manage Leads.

Click on the Advanced filters icon.

Select Lead origin > Equals > Widget

Click on Apply.

Click on the Customize Column icon.

Select Widget Name and click on Apply
Now you will be seeing the name of the widget which the lead is sourced from, in the widget name column.
To filter the leads sourced from a specific widget

Navigate to Leads Manager > Manage Leads.

Apply the filter Widget Name -> Equals -> XXX and click Apply.
Now all the leads which originated through the widget XXX got filtered.
