Overview
Associating a lead with an opportunity is a streamlined process that helps maintain accurate records and improves workflow efficiency. If the lead is available in the system, you will be able to associate the lead with the opportunity.
However, there are times when you may not find a matching lead in the system to associate with the opportunity. Previously, this halted the process, as users would need to open the Lead Manager, create a lead, and then later associate it with the opportunity.
Now, you can create a lead directly from the Opportunity module if it doesn't exist in the system, making the process quicker and easier.
Pre-Requisite
- Opportunity Module should be enabled for the Account.
- Access to Associate Lead.
Key Features
1. Search and Associate Leads: Search for leads by email, mobile number, or name, and associate them with an opportunity.
2. Create Lead: If no matching lead is found, use the “Create Lead” button to add a new lead directly from the Opportunity module.
3. Duplicate Check: Prevent duplicate leads with checks during the creation process.
4. Ease of Use: Receive guidance and help text to associate leads effectively.
How to Use?
1. Search for a Lead:
- In the Opportunity module, enter the email, mobile number, or name in the Associate Lead pop-up.
- If there is a lead found, Click on the displayed lead card to associate the lead with the opportunity. You will be redirected to point 3 if the lead is found.
2. Create a New Lead:
- Click on the “Create Lead” button if no matching lead is found based on the search criterion.
- Fill in the lead details and click “Save”.
- The system will alert you if a lead with the same email or mobile number already exists, and you can select this lead to associate it with an Opportunity.
3. Associate Lead with Opportunity:
- After creating or selecting a lead, fill in the opportunity logic fields and click “Associate”.
- The system will notify you if an opportunity with the same logic already exists.
- The lead will be associated with the Opportunity.
