In this article, we'll delve into the benefits of bulk application upload/update and provide a comprehensive step-by-step guide to using the feature.
Benefits of Bulk Application upload/update
- Automating the application upload process i.e. handling and processing of applications which in turn leads to faster turnaround time and improved productivity.
- Bulk application upload allows users to upload hundreds or even thousands of applications in one go, saving valuable time and resources.
Pre-requisite
Access to the Bulk Application upload/update functionality on the Meritto portal
Step-by-Step Guide to Bulk Application Upload/Update:
Step 1: Navigate to the Application Manager in the menu then click on the Manage Applications in the sub-menu. Else, search for the Manage Applications in the menu search and then click on the Manage Applications listing
Step 2: Click on Import then Upload Bulk Applications from the top right of your screen highlighted in the below screenshot
Step 3: Once landed on Step 1 of “Bulk Application Upload/Update”. Select one of the options in the upload type
3.1 Upload New: If the new application needs to be uploaded
3.1.1 Once the user selects the upload type and then selects the form for which a new application needs to be uploaded
3.1.2 Enable a toggle corresponding to “Enable Payment status through Discount coupons” if a payment needs to be marked as Payment Approved for the uploaded applications (highlighted in the below screenshot)
3.2 Update Existing only: If an application needs to be updated for an already existing application(s)
3.2.1 Select one of the below-mentioned options in the Update Application(s) data
- Form Data and Admin Data: If the user wishes to update the application data for the Payment Pending applications
- Admin Data Only: If the user wishes to update the hidden and disabled field data for Payment Approved applications
- Update Application Number: If the user wishes to updated the application no. of the applications
3.2.2 Select the Form for which the data needs to be updated.
Enable a toggle corresponding to “Enable Payment status through Discount coupons” if a payment needs to be marked as Payment Approved for the uploaded applications
3.2.3 Select on which parameters (Lead id, Application no. or Email id) application data needs to be updated (highlighted in the below screenshot)
3.3 Both: If the application exists then the application data would be updated else a new application would be created
3.3.1 Select the form for which the data needs to be uploaded or updated
3.3.2 Enable a toggle corresponding to “Enable Payment status through Discount coupons” if a payment needs to be marked as Payment Approved for the uploaded applications
Once the required option is selected then click on Save & Next button
3.3.3 Select on which parameters (Email id) application data needs to be updated
Step 4: If a user wishes to upload images in bulk, they must first generate the URL by uploading the images in ZIP format under Manage Documents.
Next, the user must enter the URL file path, ensuring that the file name in the ZIP file matches the document column in the uploaded CSV.
On the CSV File upload page either drag and drop the CSV file or click on the browse button in order to browse the file in the system and then click on the Save and Next button to continue further
Step 5: On the Label Mapping page map, select the correct Meritto labels corresponding to every CSV label.
If the column header in the CSV file is the same as the sample file then the CSV header would be auto-mapped with the Meritto label.
5.1. Users also have the option to assign a default value to a specific field.
They need to select the field from the dropdown and enter the value that should be updated in the application where the data is being updated or uploaded.
Once the mapping is done then click on the Save & Next button.
Step 6: On the Trigger Settings page enable the toggle corresponding to Push uploaded data via Webhook manager if the data needs to be pushed on the configured endpoint on Webhook manager.
